Michelle
Office Manager

Michelle and her husband, Jim, settled in Poway after meeting and marrying in Colorado. After working with Dr. David in the 1990’s, she and her family remained patients and we are very fortunate to have her working with us again full-time. Acting as a regular volunteer within the Senior Community, Michelle enjoys helping others. She is a huge asset to Dr. David’s office. With their daughter off to college, Michelle and her husband are staying busy with their family, friends & church.

Melissa
Registered Dental Hygienist

A native San Diegan, Melissa went into dentistry straight out of high school. After graduating Cerritos College in LA, she moved back to San Diego and began working with Dr. David in 2000. Being involved with the hygiene society, Melissa stays on top of the ever changing world of dentistry. With two children at home, she and her husband stay busy. In their free time, the family enjoys taking their boat to the lake and Colorado River to water ski and wakeboard.

Sue
Registered Dental Assistant

With her two children grown and away at college, Sue is enjoying her free time with friends and family. She also tends bar and loves mixing up fabulous drinks for her patrons. Sue loves spending time at Mission Bay skating with friends and soaking in the sun. She has been in the dental field working as an assistant for over 20 years. Having worked as Dr. David’s assistant for the majority of her career, Sue continues to love helping patients.

Julie
Dental assistant

The newest addition to our practice, Julie moved to San Diego from the Modesto area in 2004. She graduated with high honors from Kaplan’s dental assisting program and has ambitions of becoming a dental hygienist. Julie lives in Mission Beach with her cat, “Kitty” and works part-time as a waitress at Seau’s restaurant on the weekends. When she has free time, you may find her riding her beach cruiser down the boardwalk.

Dr. Lori Rauterkus

Lori is Dr. David’s wife; she practiced dentistry for 12 years before taking a break to raise their three children. Now with two in college, and one on the way, she has started helping with dental hygiene and other areas of the practice as needed. She still volunteers for organizations such as the Escondido Humane Society, Rady’s Children’s Hospital and National Charity League. Dr. Lori attended USD for her undergraduate degree in biology, and graduated from UOP Dental School with Dr. David. She enjoys reading, hiking and traveling with their family.

Alyssa
Registered Dental Hygienist

With their young son at home, Alyssa and her husband, Jeff stay busy preparing him for kindergarten and the great world. Being very creative, she tole-paints, scrapbooks and bakes at home. Alyssa is very active in the hygiene community and strives to learn more as changes occur. After graduating from Loma Linda University, she began working in San Diego and has never left. We are happy to say Alyssa has been working for Dr. David for over 15 years.

Kimberly
Registered Dental Hygienist

Born and raised in San Diego, Kimberly is the proud parent of two very active boys. She and her husband, Chris, stay busy with their sports and traveling competition teams. After graduating hygiene school at the top of her class in Boston, she moved back to San Diego. Having worked with Dr. David in the 1990’s, Kimberly has been back in this office for almost 5 years. Being an active runner, rollerblader, beach bum and volleyball stud, Kimberly also enjoys music, camping and sunsets.
